Possession Obsession: Part 1

On my recent layover in Charleston, WV I was able to sneak in a few shots of some Jessica H&O memorabilia.

The "Oates Can" left over from last year's Halloween outfit where Jessica dressed up as "Haulin' Oates" (I'm hoping to get a picture of the actual event but you get the idea.

Live from Sue's House

Our good friend, and hostess in Lakewood with the mostest Sue Reilly, has just provided me another H&O tidbit.  One summer, when Jessica was a teenager (approx '88 or '89), Sue required a babysitter for her two little ones and actually bribed Jessica with tickets to a H&O concert at the Agora. 

Needless to say, Sue set the standard for babysitting payment and Jessica went to see her favorite guys.

So Close...Yet So Far Away

They see your every move...

So in my quest to prove Jessica's #1 Fan-dom I'm secretly going back through her Facebook timeline to see how frequently she or her friends mention Hall & Oates. Once I find a H&O post, I make a screen capture to post on this blog. I didn't know what I was getting into...this will be no small project. 

To kick it off, I found this post from 2009 in which our sister Leah created an "Ode to Jessica" using only H&O lyrics.

If you have everything your heart desires...but you still want more...

Alrighty folks, the petition to get Jessica on the show is ready for signatures. In the coming week I will be contacting Live From Daryl's House about our efforts.  Let's see how many signatures we can get before they have a look!

Exhibit A

I will formally consider this Photo Exhibit A. I'm fairly certain that when Jessica gets on Daryl's show (I know, I'm projecting) and finds out about this blog, she will kill me for this photo but "it's a _____ girl" and that is the price you have to pay to prove your #1 Fan-dom. 

At any rate, I hope you enjoy the big shoulder pads and even bigger hair of Jessica in her dorm room at Bethany College circa 1990. I dare anyone to find a picture of any other college age girl in the 90's rocking the Hall and Oates poster set.

Let's make her dreams come true...

This blog was created solely to get Daryl Hall's #1 Fan, Jessica Welsh Greathouse, on "Live From Daryl's House" (http://www.livefromdarylshouse.com/) for her 40th birthday!  I will back up the #1 Fan designation with tons of evidence and I'm counting on friends and family to sign an upcoming petition to get her on the web broadcast.
